Q: Why is Smoking Allowed at Hartnell College?

Actually Julia, for the most part, it's not.

According to Hartnell, under its board policies and the rights and responsibilities student handbook, it is forbidden to smoke on campus or use tobacco within 20 feet of any main entrance, window or exit.

An exception for smoking is if it is in a play or for a science experiment with supervision.
