Occupy Salinas and Monterey Protests Begin

Salinas, Calif.- Occupy Wall Street demonstrations are taking place across the Central Coast today.

In Salinas, protestors will be at Bank of America on South Main Street from 10am-1pm.

Occupy Salinas protests will also take place on Main Street and Blanco Road at 3pm.

In Monterey protestors, will be at Colton Hall on Pacific Street from 4-8pm.

The aim of the protests is to campaign against the corporate takeover of our democracy.

    SALINAS, Calif- Police are responding to a report of a stabbing that happened on East Alisal Friday afternoon. At this time police have E. Bernal at North Main closed off looking for a possible suspect.
    Police responded to a report of a stabbing that happened on East Alisal Friday afternoon. A witness who saw the stabbing tried to help the victim get to the hospital. He carried the suspect to the car and sped towards the hospital, said police.
