SALINAS, Calif. - The SPCA confirmed two cats thought to be decapitated on Highway 101 near Boronda in Salinas were actually hit by cars.

The cats bodies were found Friday with severed heads.

Salinas police are not proceeding in their investigation.

Deputies held an 8 a.m. news conference to release new details in the arrest of a suspect in the kidnapping and murder of Sierra Lamar. Deputies said that Sierra did not know Antolin Garcia-Torres before he kidnapped her. They also believe the suspect is linked to at least three other assaults in the area in 2009.More >>
