s'Cool Food Hits the Streets

SANTA BARBARA - The s'Cool Food team takes their message to the streets.

People are still talking about the Sol Food Festival in Santa Barbara. The event was Saturday, but it's shining new light on what your child might eat for school lunch tomorrow!

The s'Cool Food team passed out thousands of samples hoping to also spread the word that the new s'Cool Food is good!

Free samples that hope to wet the appetites of parents about the bigger problem of highly processed lunch still served in many local schools.

This a small taste of what could be!

The Sol Food Festival is a one-day event to raise awareness of the sustainable, organic, and local food systems of Santa Barbara County.

Celebrating local organic farmers as heroes!

The s'Cool Food Initiative, part of the Orfalea Foundations, has been working to reform the school lunch tray for four years. Their efforts are paying off! More than 70 Central Coast schools are now serving made from scratch food.

The goal of the s'Cool Food Initiative is to empower and educate schools.
