SALINAS, Calif. --
The Sherwood Gardens Shopping Center is right across North Main Street from the Salinas Sports Complex, the rodeo grounds, and by the weekend of July 23rd it will be crawling with people.
"I think it's great. I mean, people come here from everywhere to see it...its a big thing. It's great and it brings great profit, for the most part, to Salinas," said Corinne Stahl, the lead sales associate at Goodwill in the Sherwood Gardens Shopping Center.
Stahl said they store's already getting calls about items people want to buy for the rodeo. Items like cowboy hats, boots and sombreros.
"We already started putting our rodeo stuff out on the floor. It's made our daily sales go up at least a grand a day. That's awesome and it can only do more for everybody else," said Stahl.
Managers and owners throughout shopping center agreed and said their businesses depend on this time of year to help them turn a large profit.
"It's probably the happiest time of the year," said Stahl.
