SANTA MARIA - Stages One through Eight have been announced for the Amgen Tour of California and that has cyclists around the Central Coast getting excited for the ride.
We talked with employees from Santa Maria's Main Street Cycles who showed off some of the road bikes the professional cyclists use, including the specialized time-trial bike.
They say they'll be out at the time trials in Solvang, for what they call "The Race of Truth" to support the sport and root on their favorite riders.
Bob Albrecht the Manager of Main Street Cycles told Your Central Coast News, "It's great like I said they're world-class athletes if you watch the Tour of France on TV these are the same guys going to be there instead of the time trial instead of just sitting in one spot and watching a whole bunch of riders go by at once and try to pick them out they ride one at a time and you actually get to see them".
