Firefighters Hold Holiday Toy Drive

Posted: Updated:

CARMEL, Calif. - Firefighters in Monterey County need your help in donating new toys to kids this Christmas season.  Monterey County Regional and Carmel Valley Firefighters Associations are holding a Holiday Toy Drive from Friday November 26th through Christmas day.  Toys collected will be given to adopted and foster children in Monterey County through the Kinship Center and its "Family Ties" program.  Firefighters say they need all the help they can get to ensure these kids get something this year.

"Times are tough right now, but even a little bit helps, even a dollar or a toy from the dollar store.  Right now we're accepting toys, food, and monetary donations," said Volunteer Firefighter, Justin Keisling.

Collection barrels have been placed at the Monterey County Regional Fire District stations as well as the Carmel Valley Fire District stations at the following locations:

Toro - 19900 Portola Drive - Salinas Carmel Valley Village - 26 Via Contenta Carmel Valley

Chualar - 24281 Washington St. - Chualar
