SOUTH MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif-- Four South Monterey County police departments joined forces this weekend in effort to rid South County streets of gang violence.

Police say six people were arrested Saturday night on charges ranging from gang activity to drug possession.

The gang sweep targeted four areas of South County including Gonzales, Soledad, Greenfield and King City. This marks the fourth operation by police, in effort to combat gang activity in South Monterey County.
