Four People Hospitalized After Multi-Car Accident

MONTEREY, Calif-- Four people are in the hospital after a multi-car accident on Highway 68 Saturday afternoon.

CHP officials said one person suffered major injuries and two people had to be taken to a Bay Area hospital via helicopter.

The accident happened at approximately 4:06pm Saturday.  The accident happened on Highway 68, just East of York Road in Monterey.

Neither east nor west bound lanes were closed but the accident caused major headaches for some Labor Day commuters.

CHP officials are still investigating the cause of the accident.
