PACIFIC GROVE, Calif-- Fire officials are still trying to determine what caused a major house fire in Pacific Grove Friday night.
Just after 10 pm, the Monterey Fire Department responded to the house on fire at the 100 Block of Lighthouse Avenue.
When they arrived, firefighters saw heavy flames coming from the home.
They were able to contain the fire within an hour. At least one woman was inside when the fire first started but she was able to escape and was treated at a local hospital for minor burn injuries.
One other home caught on fire and had minor damage on the outside. The cause of this fire and where it started is still under investigation.
Four engines and a truck helped put this fire out. The cost of damages is still yet to be determined.
Fire crews remain on scene Saturday to make sure the fire does not rekindle.
