MONTEREY,Calif- Saturday July 31st is National Dance Day and all over the country people were moving and grooving.

There was a dance day celebration in Monterey at Zumba Monterey, Z Club!

The producers of the show "So you think you can dance," issued a challenge to America to get up and move and now dance studios are taking part all over the country.

The organizers of the event say National Dance Day is a way to encourage everyone to dance to stay fit and healthy. They say its important especially in a time where obesity has become a nation wide epidemic.
