Monterey, CALIF- Police showed up at a pot shop ordered to shut down. The lights were off inside and when the police knocked no one answered. Central Coast News spoke with the police department who said the officers were there to carry out the court ordered injunction and to make sure the shop was closed.
MyCaregiver a medical marijuana dispensary has been operating on Lighthouse Avenue in Monterey since November. Last week the courts sided with the city saying the pot shop was violating city code.
The courts decision means the dispensary needed to shut down. According to the city they were in compliance today since the store was closed. Central Coast News tried to contact the director of the pot shop but he did not call back for a comment.
