The Chicago Bears on Thursday signed tackle/guard Michael Ola, who was released by the Miami Dolphins.
The Bears also terminated the contracts of vested veteran cornerback Derrick Martin and waived tackle Roger Gaines when they signed Ola.
Ola played in 2012 under Bears coach Marc Trestman when he was with the Montreal Alouettes.
The 6-foot-3, 278-pounder played his college ball at Hampton and was released by the Dolphins following their rookie minicamp.
Martin appeared in seven games for the Bears last season, playing mostly on special teams. Martin reportedly suffered a broken collarbone in a recent car accident.
