SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -

UPDATE 9/1/2016: The 11-month-old baby whose abduction triggered an Amber Alert across the Bay Area, was found Thursday afternoon.

CHP said William Brown was abducted from San Francisco Wednesday night by his grandmother. Investigators said the boy and his grandmother were found in Redwood City.

CHP said the boy is OK and his grandmother was taken into custody.

PREVIOUS STORY: Law enforcement issued an Amber Alert after a baby was abducted in San Francisco Wednesday night.

California Highway Patrol said 11-month-old William Brown was taken by suspect Phoebe Haynes, 44.

Brown is described as black male, wearing a grey sweatshirt and gray pajamas with sharks.

Haynes is described as a black woman, 5 feet tall, 180 pounds, brown hair and brown eyes. Officers said she was last seen wearing a black jacket, a skirt and boots.

CHP believes Haynes is driving a 2004 white Acura TL, with an unknown license plate and possibly a black bumper, with a California license plate of 7HPY348. Officers think Haynes is Brown's grandmother.

Anyone with information is asked to call police. The Amber Alert is issued for San Francisco, San Mateo, Marin, Contra Costa, Solano, Santa Clara and Alameda counties.
