SALINAS, Calif. -

Night work will temporarily close sections of highway 101 at Crazy Horse Canyon Road beginning Monday night through Friday.

Traffic will be shifted onto the on-ramps and off-ramps between the hours of 8:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The closures will only affect one direction each night. The closures are:

Monday, May 5: Southbound Highway 101: southbound traffic to use interchange ramps.
Tuesday, May 6: Northbound Highway 101: northbound traffic to use interchange ramps
Wednesday, May 7: Southbound Highway 101: southbound traffic to use interchange ramps
Thursday, May 8: Southbound Highway 101: southbound traffic to use interchange ramps

Flaggers will be in place to control traffic and allow drivers to access Crazy Horse Canyon Road and Echo Valley Road.

The lane closures are necessary to allow crews to install new drainage for the highway.
