SALINAS, Calif. -

Salinas police are investigating a shooting that left a 32-year-old in critical condition Saturday.

Police say the shooting happened on Pacific Avenue around 11:30 p.m.

When officers responded, they found the victim unconscious and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to police.

Police say the victim was hanging out with several friends and relatives, when two suspects approached them and starting shooting at him.

The victim was eventually flown to a Bay Area hospital where his condition is critical.
