Save Our Shores is seeking volunteers for its new summer program, North Coast Cleanup Day, which kicks off Sunday.
From 9 to 11 a.m. on the fourth Sunday of June, July and August, volunteers will help clean give sites in northern Santa Cruz County that are consistently trashed by parties, camping and heavy foot traffic.
Volunteers will help clean Davenport Main, Panther, Bonny Doon, 4 Mile and Shark Tooth beaches.
This weekend, Save Our Shores is partnering with the Diversity Center for a special "Rainbow Coalition Cleanup" at Panther Beach.
Panther Beach and Davenport Main Beach were identified as two of Save Our Shores' 2014 Top 10 Trash Hot Spots.
Those interested in volunteering at any of these events should email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Check-in for the Rainbow Coalition Cleanup will take place at 9 a.m. in the Panther Beach parking lot on the ocean side of Highway 1.
