HOLLISTER, Calif. -

Officers were out in full force throughout San Benito County during the July 4-6 holiday weekend.

Sheriff's deputies partnered with officers from Hollister police departments as well as the Department of Fish and Wildlife and California State Parks, and deputies were brought in on overtime to help.

On Friday and Saturday nights, undercover deputies were out in unmarked cars to assist the Hollister Fire Department in the detection and enforcement of fireworks violations.

Through the weekend San Benito County Deputies were involved in 213 calls for service - that included 51 traffic stops and 19 citations.

Patrol deputies helped Hollister police respond to 41 calls for illegal fireworks and also responded to 10 large parties in the unincorporated county area.
