SALINAS, Calif. -

A Salinas taco truck was robbed by two men with guns just before 11 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Two Hispanic men, believed to be in their twenties, approached the El Volcan Taco Truck at East Alisal and Holaday streets, each carrying a handgun. They demanded money from the workers and customers. One of the workers handed over an undetermined sum of money. The worker then slapped the gun away and one shot was fired, striking the countertop inside the taco truck. No one was injured and the suspects fled to an awaiting vehicle.
