Nine people were arrested in Salinas during a probation sweep on Friday, according to police.
Officers with Salinas Police Department's Violence Suppression Unit said they helped parole officers and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to arrest a group of suspected gang members. Teams were able to conduct 20 searches.
Three handguns were taken in along with one ballistic vest, one semi-auto handgun and nearly 5 grams of methamphetamine.
All nine people arrested were taken to the Monterey County Jail.
