SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. -

A project to widen the shoulder and construct a soil nail wall on Highway 17 is slated to begin Monday night. 

Caltrans officials say the work is happening in the Scotts Valley area, from just north of the Glenwood Cutoff to one-half mile south of Glenwood Drive.

Overnight work hours are:

Northbound: Sunday through Friday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Southbound: Sunday through Friday from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

No work will take place Friday or Saturday nights.

Minimal delays are anticipated. Construction is expected to be complete by the end of August 2015.
