SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -

Amid an undercover prostitution sting in Santa Cruz, deputies say five people are now behind bars.

The Santa Cruz County Anti-Crime Team Narcotic Enforcement Team and Gang Task Force teamed up with personnel from the Santa Cruz Police Department to do an undercover prostitution sting along the lower Ocean Street corridor, according to deputies.

During the operation, five people were arrested, three women for prostitution-related charges and two men for solicitation for lewd conduct, according to deputies.
