Firefighters are getting ready for another day on the Soberanes Fire.
As of Tuesday morning, the Soberanes Fire had burned 43,400 acres and was 18% contained. Cal Fire said the flames continue to burn in steep, rugged and inaccessible terrain. Fifty-seven homes have been destroyed. Two new bases -- one at the Rancho Canada golf club, and another Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park -- have opened in addition to the Toro Park command center.
