SALINAS, Calif. - -

It all started with a caller reporting someone driving erratically and brandishing a gun Friday evening in Salinas, according to police.

When an officer found the black Mustang at Williams and Market,  police say the driver wouldn't stop and continued on to the rear of LaPrincessa Market.

Police say during the high risk stop, the suspect was uncooperative and yelled  for the officers to kill him. In its press release, Salinas PD also says the man reached to his waist pocket as if armed.

Police tased 29-year old Aziz Ahmed, but when that didn't subdue him officers released a police K9. Ahmed was bitten on the arm and taken into custody.

Officers found a pellet handgun in the car. Ahmed was arrested for DUI, driving on a suspended license and resisting arrest.
