SANTA CRUZ, Calif- The San Jose teacher arrested for soliciting sexual favors from a 13-year-old over the internet, was sentenced today.
James Barany was arrested in August in Santa Cruz. He had agreed to meet a Santa Cruz police officer who was posing as a 13-year-old girl.
Barany pled guilty back in November, but today learned he will spend six months in jail. He will also serve five years probation and be required to register as a sexual offender for the rest of his life.
