SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (AP) - A Colorado ski resort executive has been selected to head the Heavenly Mountain Resort on Lake Tahoe's south shore.
Vail Ski and Snowboard School Director Pete Sonntag will begin Aug. 1 as Heavenly's vice president and general manager.
In his position at Vail, he oversaw a staff of more more than 1,200 employees. He previously held similar positions at the Beaver Creek and Copper Mountain resorts in Colorado.
Sonntag's appointment as Heavenly's general manager was 1 of several leadership changes announced Thursday by Vail Resorts Inc.
