CARMEL, Calif- Michael Brady, age 41, a New Zealand national, pled guilty to committing assault with intent to commit rape.
On April 14, 2010, the defendant was visiting Carmel when he assaulted a 15 year-old female with the intent to commit rape. The victim was able to escape the defendant and find the back door of the Carmel Police Department where she received aide. The Carmel Police Department immediately located and arrested the defendant.
Brady is facing a maximum prison sentence of 6 years. He will be required to register as a sex offender for life.
