
KING CITY, Calif- Early Friday morning police responded to an alarm going on at the Payless show store on Canal Street. When police arrived they discovered that someone had smashed the store window with a blunt object and stole two dollars from the cash register.
Officers searched the building and found a 17 year old wearing all black clothing running behind the business. Police say that the 17 year old had of a claw hammer and latex gloves stuffed down his pants. The stolen two dollars were allegedly found in the juvenile's pants pocket.
Police say that the teenager admitted to breaking into the business with two of his friends but he refused to identify the other suspects.
The juvenile was lodged into the Monterey County Juvenile Hall on charges of burglary, possession of burglary tools, possession of stolen property, and violation of juvenile probation.
