Marc Cota-Robles joined Central Coast News in February of 2007 as a general assignment reporter, based in Salinas. He served as weekend news anchor on KION 46 & KCBA FOX 35 for two years, before joining the morning news team in 2009.
In September 2010, Marc began as evening anchor on Central Coast News at 5, 6, 10 & 11 p.m., with Jasmine Viel as his co-anchor. After a two-year engagement, the couple married in April 2011, in San Diego.
In January 2012, Marc & Jasmine began anchoring evening newscasts on KCOY CBS 12 and FOX 11 for the Santa Maria based newsroom of Central Coast News.
Central Coast News is a two-time Emmy-Award winner for Best Newscast, Northern California (small market, 2011-2012). In 2011, Central Coast News was awarded the Regional Edward R. Murrow for Breaking News Coverage and Overall Station Excellence.
Prior to working at Central Coast News, Marc was the morning news anchor at KVII-TV in Amarillo, Texas. He interned at Fox News Channel’s Los Angeles bureau and graduated from Chapman University in Orange, CA.
In his spare time, Marc enjoys traveling, staying active and is an avid motorsports fan. His family has attended the Indianapolis 500 every year since 1993. He became familiar with the Central Coast at a young age, racing cars himself at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
