PACIFIC GROVE, Calif- A PG man suspected of stabbing a grandmother to death is out of the hospital and in the Monterey County Jail.
26-year-old Sunny Nguyen was hauled into jail on Thanksgiving Day. Nguyen suffered knife wounds and was taken to a Bay Area hospital on Sunday. He was under 24 hour guard by police officers. Nguyen was arrested on suspicion of homicide. His bail is set at $1 million 3 thousand dollars, jail officials said.
A 46-year-old grandmother was found stabbed to death in her Pacific Grove home Sunday night. Police say that two of her grandchildren where found inside the home on 17 Mile Drive uninjured.
A cab driver called police to the house after his passenger refused to pay and went inside the home. When police arrived they heard movement inside but nobody answered the door. Officers were able to see blood spattered on the walls from the side window so they busted the door down.
Police say that they found Judith Salazar lying on the floor dead. 26-year-old Sunny Nguyen was also found lying on the floor suffering from knife wounds.
Nguyen's two children, an eight month old and a two year-old girl, were found inside the home. Police say that they were not injured.
