...Cool Friday with Sunny Skies and Warmup for the Weekend...
Waking up to morning low clouds & patchy fog but we will clear things out quickly for the inland areas revealing mostly sunny skies with a few clouds stubborn to clear from the immediate coast. Breezy conditions 10-20 MPH will increase 20-30 MPH by mid day with highs topping out in the low to mid 60's with inland areas in the upper 60's to low 70's. Low clouds & fog return later tonight with more sunshine & warming through the weekend.
The upper trough associated with the weather system continues to head east Friday night and an upper level ridge begins to build over the Eastern Pacific Saturday into Monday. Daytime temperatures will warm over most of the Central Coast, but the Marine layer will continue right near the coast.
Temps peak Monday before heading on a downward slide as an upper low from the sub Arctic digs south. The models do not agree how far south the low will center over Central California. Highs will be on the cool side with breezy conditions Tuesday. Temps should be back to normal through the end of the week.
The Outlook for 21st of May thorough the 29th of May calls for Near Normal Temperatures and Near Normal Precipitation which is little or none for this time of year.

Flood effects can be local, impacting a neighborhood or community, or very large, affecting entire river basins and multiple states. However, all floods are not alike. Some floods develop slowly, sometimes over a period of days. Flash floods often have a dangerous wall of roaring water that carries rocks, mud, and other debris and can sweep away most things in its path.More >>
You may need to survive on your own after a disaster. This means having your own food, water, and other supplies in sufficient quantity to last for at least three days. Local officials and relief workers will be on the scene after a disaster, but they cannot reach everyone immediately. You could get help in hours, or it might take days.More >>
Debris and mud flows are rivers of rock, earth, and other debris saturated with water. They develop when water rapidly accumulates in the ground, during heavy rainfall. They can flow rapidly, striking with little or no warning at avalanche speeds. They also can travel several miles from their source, growing in size as they pick up trees, boulders, cars, and other materials.More >>
