...Cooler Weather with Below Normal Temperatures Through Friday..Then A Little Warmer....
Some high clouds this morning and a few areas of low clouds and patchy fog. Skies cleared quickly, but the high clouds did filter the sunshine through about mid day. Under sunny skies this afternoon and cooler air, highs ranged from the 60s to low 70s near the coast to the 70s to mid 80s farther inland. Winds also picked up this afternoon after the dry cold front moved through. Wind gusts to 25 and 30 mph were recorded. Skies will be mostly clear overnight except for some areas of low clouds and fog near the coast. Overnight low temperatures will be cooler with lows dropping into the 40s in most areas.
An upper trough has developed over the West Coast and will remain over the State through the week. Temperatures will be below normal all week at least into Friday. The trough will weaken toward the end of the week and this will allow temperatures to moderate a little as we head into the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend. Still the Holiday weekend will not be a hot one as temperatures just get back to near normal by Monday and Tuesday next week.
The Outlook for 27th of May thorough the 4th of June calls for Below Normal Temperatures and Near Normal Precipitation which is little or none for this time of year.

Flood effects can be local, impacting a neighborhood or community, or very large, affecting entire river basins and multiple states. However, all floods are not alike. Some floods develop slowly, sometimes over a period of days. Flash floods often have a dangerous wall of roaring water that carries rocks, mud, and other debris and can sweep away most things in its path.More >>
You may need to survive on your own after a disaster. This means having your own food, water, and other supplies in sufficient quantity to last for at least three days. Local officials and relief workers will be on the scene after a disaster, but they cannot reach everyone immediately. You could get help in hours, or it might take days.More >>
Debris and mud flows are rivers of rock, earth, and other debris saturated with water. They develop when water rapidly accumulates in the ground, during heavy rainfall. They can flow rapidly, striking with little or no warning at avalanche speeds. They also can travel several miles from their source, growing in size as they pick up trees, boulders, cars, and other materials.More >>
